An area enchant card was already in set zone C, and I set another area enchant card while preparing for the turn. Does the effect of the area enchant card that was already out take effect?
A
Generally, no. If you set a new area enchant card while one is already out, they're swapped at the area enchant swap step after the turn starts. After that, only the newly set area enchant card's effect takes effect, if it can be used. If an effect's timing is before the card swap, the area enchant card that was already out has its effect resolved, then the cards are swapped, and then the newly set area enchant card's effect is resolved.
I set an area enchant card without enough power for its cost. Does its effect take effect?
A
No, it doesn't. However, its clock still counts when the Chronos is moved, and it's still swapped into set zone C at the area enchant swap. While its power cost isn't met, it isn't put in the power charger or abyss even when the conditions for that are met, and it stays in set zone C unless it's swapped out. Once enough power has built up, its effect can take effect.
An area enchant card I just set, with its power cost met, met the conditions for being put in the power charger or abyss before its effect was used. Does its effect take effect?
A
If it says it's put in the power charger or abyss "at the end of the turn", its effect can be used that turn. If it says "immediately", or doesn't give a timing, it's put in the power charger or abyss as soon as the conditions are met, even before its effect takes effect.
Having lost the battle last turn, I set 2 area enchant cards in the set zone. How is this resolved?
A
Both cards' clocks count, so time moves forward by both at the start of the turn. Then, if an area enchant card is already in set zone C, it's put in the power charger or abyss, and the area enchant card set in set zone A moves to set zone C and has its effect resolved, if it can be used. The other area enchant card, set in set zone B, doesn't have its effect resolved and is put in the power charger or abyss at the end of the turn.
When is an area enchant card sent to the power charger or abyss?
A
If it says "immediately", as soon as its end condition is met. If it says "at the end of the turn", at the end of the turn its end condition was met in. If it says neither, as a rule, as soon as its end condition is met. However, if its power cost isn't met, it stays in set zone C even when its end condition is met.
I took 30 or more damage on a turn when Dual-wielding was set. Can its "At the end of the turn, both players recover 10 HP" effect be used?
A
No, it can't. It says "immediately", so it's put in the abyss between taking the damage and resolving the end of the turn, and its effect can't be used.
Imprison the Curse was in set zone C, and I put it in the power charger because night changed to day. Can the SEND TO POWER of the Imprison the Curse I sent to the power charger count this turn?
I set Banquet while the character card in my battle zone was ★2 or more. That turn, my opponent set a ★4 or more character card, which was swapped into their battle zone. Can Banquet's effect be used?
On top of the SEND TO POWER built up in your power charger, you can count one more power for each darkness card in the abyss. Example: with 3 darkness cards in the abyss, ★4 in your power charger and Preparing for opening set, you can use cards with a power cost of up to ★7.
While The unsuitable rally is over. was in my set zone C, my opponent set an area enchant card. How is my opponent's area enchant card resolved?
A
After its clock counts at the start of the turn, it's put in the power charger or abyss immediately. This lasts until The unsuitable rally is over. leaves your set zone C. It ends 1. when you set a different area enchant card, 2. at the end of a turn your opponent put a card in the abyss, or 3. when your opponent uses an effect that affects area enchant cards.
Yes, it does. Even if the battle is a draw and neither player's HP changes, UNIGIRI-KORORIN is put in the abyss at the end of the turn if your opponent's HP is 30 or less.
With UNIGIRI-KORORIN in set zone C, I'd set a character card at the start of the turn, so my battle zone was swapped. If the character card from last turn (electric) has SEND TO POWER, does it count for UNIGIRI-KORORIN too?
From the next turn. The Chronos is resolved before GAME CENTER TECHNO POOR's effect takes effect, so on the turn it's set, the Chronos moves forward by each newly set card's printed clock. On a turn you set a new area enchant card while GAME CENTER TECHNO POOR is already out, the Chronos is resolved with GAME CENTER TECHNO POOR's effect, then the area enchant cards are swapped, and then the newly set area enchant card's effect is resolved at the effects step.
Yes. When attack is decided, each player adds their own remaining HP to their attack. Example: if your remaining HP is 70 and your opponent's is 40, in the battle your attack is +70 and your opponent's is +40.
When High alert leaves set zone C other than by its own effect, is it put in the abyss?
A
Yes. If you replace it with another area enchant card yourself, or it's affected by your opponent's card's effect, it's put in the abyss. The card itself has no SEND TO POWER, but it's put in the power charger when "Your opponent reveals the top card of their deck at the start of the turn, and a card with a power cost of 6 or more is revealed from their deck".
With Dual-wielding set, I took 20 damage and my HP became 0. Can Dual-wielding's effect then recover 10 HP?
A
No, it can't. The game ends the moment either player's HP becomes 0, and the player with HP left at that moment wins. Once HP becomes 0, no more card effects are resolved, so Dual-wielding's effect isn't resolved.
What happens to my opponent's card after High alert reveals it? And when is High alert put in the power charger?
A
The top card of your opponent's deck revealed by High alert goes back on top of their deck. If the revealed card's power cost is ★6 or more, High alert is put in the power charger immediately.
When High alert's effect sends it to the power charger, how does it count for power?
A
Its SEND TO POWER is 0, so it doesn't count as power. However, it counts for effects that look at the number of cards in the power charger or the number of electric cards.
Its effect can take effect from the turn after the turn GREINU take a break is set. On the turn GREINU take a break is set, the clock moves forward before effects are resolved, so from the next turn on it cancels the clocks of character cards your opponent newly sets (they count as 0).
No, you can't. KAITO-INC-NEKO (SHADE)'s condition "If you swapped in a (SHADE) character this turn" isn't met, so its effect can't take effect this turn.
When I'm CREAMY!!? meets the condition of its effect it's put in the abyss. Does its SEND TO POWER count then?
A
No. When it's put in the abyss by meeting its effect's condition, it doesn't count as power. When it leaves the set zone other than by a card's effect, such as being swapped out when you set a different area enchant card, or at the start of the turn when it was set as your turn 1 card during game setup, it's put in the power charger, so its power counts.
When I set Counterattack with 50 HP or less, is it put in the power charger after its effect takes effect, or immediately?
A
In this case, it's put in the power charger immediately without its effect taking effect. It doesn't give a timing such as "at the end of the turn", so if your HP is 50 or less it's put in the power charger "immediately". If it's in set zone C and battle damage brings your HP to 50 or less, it's put in the power charger as soon as HP has been resolved. If you newly set it with your HP already 50 or less, it's put in the power charger immediately at the area enchant swap (before its effect takes effect).
